Jason missed out on Daina's new life. He missed her.
He missed the rest of the band, too. But not as much as Daina.
Daina helped him boost his confidence.
She helped him get on the stage in front of the thousands of Maine fans for Deadly Sins.
Daina helped Jason a lot.
But she was on tour now. And it was August of 2008.
Jason had a myspace with over 1,000 people. (To be exact; only 1,034.)
The guys in Killa Boy decided to not make a band myspace because they knew they wouldn't make it anywhere.
Zack, the bassist of the band, was the only one who actually wanted the band to have a myspace.
"Guys, Sins are coming here in three days. We have to make backstage the best thing ever." Kevin, Killa Boy's drummer, said.
Jason sunk into his seat. He hadn't planned anything. "Daina won't let us into backstage. Only Jason."
Everyone gathered around Jason. "What?" He said, noticing the eyes watching him.
"Call Daina and ask her if we can get backstage 'passes'." Jason shook his head.
"No way. You guys call her. I'm not going to ask her for something like that." He felt a hand slip into his right pocket.
Zack rolled his eyes as Jason smacked the hand out of his pocket.
"Come on, Jay. It's three fuckin' days away. We never bought tickets either." Kevin emplied.
Jason sat up and looked up to the stairs. "Mom! Can I use the phone?" He called.
His mother opened the basement door and looked down to her son. "Honey, can it wait? I'm in a very important call."
Jason shook his head. "Just hang up. I need to call a friend. This is more important than getting your hair done."
She said a few more things into the phone then hung up.
"Hurry." She said before softly shutting the door.
"Why couldn't you use your cell?" Ian asked.
Jason dialed Daina's cell phone number. "Because, I had only told her my home phone number."
Zack and Kevin looked to eachother. Strange...
Ian rested his head on his hands as Jason talked into the phone.
"Hey, Day. It's Jason." He turned around and smiled to himself.
"Oh hey! Oh my gosh! I miss you! And Killa Boy! Tour is such an experience. I can't believe we're gonna be there in a couple days."
"Yeah, I know! I can't wait to see you guys live in a professional way. Hey, I have to ask you something."
"Okay. What is it?"
He breathed in and looked to Killa Boy. Watching him carefully.
"I wanted to know if we could...you know, get backstage? We had something planned and we really want to make your backstage after party amazing."
"Well, if it has to do with our backstage after party then HELL TO THE YES! Just go around the area and I'll meet you there. The security will be heavy so I don't want them to be suspicious of your guys."
"Thanks! I miss you so much! I can't wait to see you!"
-3 long days later.-
"You guys have been standing there for the past half hour...what's up?" One of the bald men asked.
Jason looked to Ian. Ian shrugged. "I don't know. They said to meet back here."
The fence looked really torn up. No wonder there was security there.
Ian moved himself so he had a good angle to see the door and vans.
"Uh, is DS here yet?" Kevin groaned.
The other bald guy looked to the other. "Why do you care again?"
Jason flipped his hair and turned up his iPod.
"This is boring!" Kevin cried.
In a few seconds they heard the sound of sneakers pounding on the ground.
"Guys! Oh god! I'm so sorry! I was right in the middle of arguing with Lance and Emm." She apologized.
Jason smiled. "It's ok. Don't be sorry. We've been here since early."
She pulled his arm and took the other guys too. "These are my friends. They DESERVE to be back here."
As the door opened, the other boys yelled. "KILLA BOY!"
Lance was the only one who didn't chime in. He disliked these guys.
Each boy had tried to take Daina away from him while they dated.
"Hey." He said and turned around.
Daina rushed past him to get in front of him. "Lance! What's wrong?"
"Nothing. I need to finish getting ready." He smiled to her but immediately got out of her way.
Jason watched as Lance walked away. Daina watched Lance also.
A sad face settling onto her's. "Day! Come on! Stay happy!"
She looked to Jason with a sad smile. "He's become distant from me only. I guess we should have never dated."
Jason pulled her into a hug. "Thanks, Jay. You're a really cool friend."
One of the sound managers came down the small hall. "Daina, you need to finish off your make-up."
Daina got out of Jason's death hug.
Emerson and Josh nudged Daina to let go.
"Don't forget Brendon." They whispered to her.
Jason forgot about Brendon. They were together.
He would not want to see Daina hurt because Brendon left her.
It would have been his fault.
Soon enough, the band went on stage.
Jason and the guys put up their decortations. It wasn't much.
A sign here.
A present there.
Jason standing in between them.
