"Look at me, Day."
"No."
"Please...just look at me. I didn't mean it. I never did."
"I don't care. I will NOT look at you no matter what."
"Let me explain myself at least."
Daina pulled out of his grasp. "I told you...No."
His fingers slid off of her arm.
Dear Daina,
Do you ever have love issues? Don't be specific if you don't want to.
Love, Eliza.
Daina stopped breathing for a second. "I hate him."
The door to her room creaked open. "Day? You okay? I heard about you and Brendon." Lance said.
Daina shook her head. "I don't want to talk about him."
Emerson popped in behind Lance. "Then let's go to our infamous Maine after tour party. We all need a break."
Lance nodded his head as he shook her shoulder gently. "We know you love to party. Just have fun for tonight. Let it wash away your sorrow."
"But what if that damn party doesn't wash away my sorrow?! It won't work!" Daina kept in all the tears. The tears that died to pour out.
Emerson looked to Lance. "Where is my favorite girl that could take anything? She used to be in control of herself. And I think her name was Daina Leone." Lance whispered.
Daina rested her head on her hand. She hated to admit that Lance was right. She was acting as if Brendon was everything. No he wasn't. He was just a boy that a part of her life.
A boy that made a terrible mistake with a bleach blonde in Cali.
Daina sucked in all the air she could. "Okay guys. I think I'm ready for this."
Lance chuckled. "Oh really? Are you trying to be anorexic or something?" He poked her visible rib cage.
Josh and Emerson sat in the corner of the room, playing a demo of their own, checking for any mistakes. "This is something we need to focus on, Lance. Not Daina and her fake skinnyness." Josh joked.
Daina ran over to the CD stereo. The music poured out and into their ears.
"I can't. I just can't. You aren't enough. You aren't a drug. Please just...shh." Josh paused the song.
"Day, didn't Ryan write this song for you?" Emerson shoved Josh away from the stereo.
Daina took a step back onto the couch. "He did. Why?"
Lance's eyes widened. He didn't want Josh to ask the wrong question. But he did.
"But didn't Brendon write a song for you along the same lines?"

Entry#23: Dear Emerson
Emerson took one last look at the amp bar before jumping onto the stool then onto the bar itself.
You see, an amp bar is where a bar resides made up of amps. Of course the guards that are there are extremely careful with spilling their drinks in the right places.
Girls were crying to Emerson as he bent over, still playing his bass.
Daina, on the other hand, had her guitar being thrown all over the place, still strapped to her body.
Lance was also playing his guitar and jumping all over the place. But one thing he had wanted to do...was jump into the crowd.
At first he had to think about it, almost missing his ques on singing twice, but he made the decision on not jumping. Entering in a casual manner.
Daina took the mic into her sweating hands. "So, our last song is one we all know and love. Deadly Sins is going to play..."
Josh started to play a midevil beat in the back. The kind that you hear in metal bands that scream throughout the whole song.
Emerson jumped off the bar and also started playing a beat to go along with Josh's playing.
Lance grabbed one string and plucked it, carefully bringing his finger down to make the ear killing noise.
Daina also started playing, making it obvious what song it was.
The song named after them. Deadly Sins.
"You are the only one tha-t, can make something sound so good. Something that never sounded so good after all." Daina screamed into the mic. Her heart was racing and her face was getting hotter by the second.
Lance spun around in circles and stopped to run over to his mic and start screaming over and over again, "I can't bleed. I can't see. These deadly sins behind me."
"I hope you know that I can't stand to see you cry for me. But leaving this world, is all I want from me." Daina paused so Lance could do his quick but sweet solo. "My deadly sins are right behind me. And I can't spare, that all I've done is soon to perish but not too long. The bones are sitting here, they're sitting here in front of me. But the blood is draining, all these deadly sins have come for me."
And with that, they finished up the song and ran off stage.
Daina loved to hear the fans scream.
Lance had wanted to hear Cassidy scream his name.
Josh had wanted to get off the stage because he had to go to the bathroom.
But Emerson needed a smoke.
So, he fled to get his cigarettes then to the bathroom.
Boy, he wanted to die so bad.

Entry#22: Dear Lance
Dear Lance,
I finally get to see you guys at the Stadium Hall. I couldn't afford the tickets but when my mom gave me them the morning of the concert, I went berserk. If you don't get this email on time, you'll probably see me in the front row screaming your name with my friends Lisa and Trevor. Lisa is a big fan of yours. She has all of your designer clothes and band t-shirts. She even has all your albums including the special editions. Trevor likes your music and he has started to play guitar just like I started to play bass. So we were gonna start our own band. I just wanted to say that you're really cute and I wish that you lived down my street instead of in Maine.
From Cassidy
Dear Cassidy,
One of our stage crew member's name is Cassidy. Stadium Hall is one of my favorite sights to see. The stage is so big and you could jump around and everything! The amp bar is pretty cool too. Your parents sound cooler than mine. My parents would never do that even if I killed myself. Lucky for you that I'm replying to this because it's only 2 o'clock PM and there's already a line of people outside. People always yell my name at concerts. But they also yell everyone else's name too. They scream and I just smile. So maybe I will see you and your friends. Be sure to buy the band T's at the show. It would be great to meet you guys.
From Lanc3
Lance angrily shut the laptop. He glanced out the window and saw nothing. Someone knocked on his door. "Lance! Get out here! The M&G fans are here!" Harvey cried, glancing back and forth between Lance and whatever was behind him.
Emerson pushed the door open. "Get the hell in here. This is the most important day of our tour days."
He sat up and glared at Emerson. "What about Day? What are we going to do about-"
"GUYS! DAINA'S HERE!" Someone shouted.
A crowd of people screamed. Lance already knew the meet and greet people were already backstage.
The top of Daina's black and purple head was visible. Emerson smiled and pushed her shoulders.
"Hey, guys." Daina smiled. "What are you up to?" Two girls screamed as Daina reared closer and a couple of boys yelled her name.
Emerson spoke with a group of kids that dressed similar to him.
Josh chatted with a few of his own fans.
Lance left his room. The many girls screamed his name and they rushed to him. It was their first tour and they already loved him.
They all left to the general admission standing area.
Daina, Josh, Lance, and Emerson met up before the first band, Killa Boy, went out. Jason hopped up and down.
"Day, we were worried sick about you. Where were you?" Emerson asked.
Daina laughed. "Are you serious? I told you guys that I was going out to eat something. I was starving and I was sick of the van food."
Josh wrapped an arm around Daina. "Now that we all know where Day was...let's get going. Jason needs to warm up."
Jason laughed. "Oh, thanks. That helps a lot."
"You're welcome and I know." Josh laughed.
Daina took her purple and black guitar, tightening the strap around her neck.
Lance also strapped his guitar, making sure his guitar could play the notes on the right pitch.
Emerson played his warm-up with his bass while having the crew fix his ear piece.
Josh played the air drums while listening to his own music in his iPod.
Cassidy and Lina pushed Josh to his drumset.
Harvey plugged in Daina's guitar and gave her a thumbs up.
Darren turned on the amp bar and all the other lights and amps.
"You ready?" Cassidy asked.
Josh nodded his head and took off his shirt.
Emerson stood on the side of the stage waiting for the lights to dim once again so the darkness was just as fine.
Lance and Daina stood on the other end of the stage also waiting for the lights to dim.
"Are you guys ready to rock?! WITH THE DEADLY SINS?!" The announcer yelled into his mic. Daina ran out on stage first and Lance ran out after. One light was showing on Daina and the crowd started going. "Could you ever? Would you ever? Can you ever...kill me. Could you ever? Would you ever? Can you ever..." A light flashed on Lance as he grabbed his mic and screamed, "KILL ME!!"
They all started playing.
"And these lyrics could never wake me up. But can they take up my time. Take. Up. My Time." Daina backed away and played her guitar.
Lance walked up to her mic and started singing, "Why don't you understand? These questions in my head. I just can't get you out. I just won't let you leave my head."
They kept playing and Daina ran over to the edge of the stage. The crowd was reaching out to her but she couldn't stop playing and talk. She had a concert to finish. She had a boyfriend to have fun with.
"These questions in my head! I just can't let them out! Why won't you get out! I kept on screaming out!" Lance screamed. Daina laughed as Lance almost tripped over the wire. She went over to his mic and sang with him. "You took my hand. You made me understand it all. And I just don't get it. Why won't you leave...me...alone! Why won't you just go! Why not just go alone! You love her and not me!"
Daina stopped playing and took her own mic into her hands.
"So, you guys like this concert?" Everybody screamed as they kept playing the beat. "We're Deadly Sins. And we would like to say, our sins are for you to listen to...and as deadly as they are...keep listening!"
Two girls and one guy kept screaming Lance's name and Lance smiled. He laughed.
Cassidy. Lisa. Trevor. Some fans they are.

Entry#21: Love, Josh
Josh shrugged. "I don't know. Don't look at me."
Both Lance and Emerson gave Josh a death stare.
He lifted his hands to his eyes to block their stare. "Stop!" He whined.
Lance and Emerson paced back and forth. "What are we going to do! Day hasn't been around since...yesterday. And that was after Brendon showed up at our Las Vegas show."
Josh looked out their small window. He knew exactly where Daina was but he promised not to tell anyone.
Lance grabbed the foot stool and set it right in front of Josh. "Josh, tell us now. We know you know something."
He shook his head. "I'm a dunce. I don't know anything."
Emerson smacked him lightly in the back of his head. "Spit it out. Now. We need her."
Josh shook his again. "Nope. Never."
The trailer door shot open. Pete dragged in Brendon.
"She's not with him." He said, settling Brendon in the trailer.
"What?!" Both Emerson and Lance's jaws dropped.
Josh just stared at them. "You guys are weird." He mumbled.
Pete glared at Josh. "You know something, Josh. Just by the way you're talking. We all know you know something."
He slouched down into his chair. Now he was starting to become guilty.
You see, Josh saw Brendon and Daina talking. Daina told Josh that if he listened to their conversation...
He would have to promise not to tell Lance or Emerson.
The whole talk with Brendon was about her visiting Brendon's mother. Brendon, of course, promised to keep her concealed while she was there.
Josh wanted to argue with her to stay but she thought about them. Them meaning Brendon and Daina. She was happy with him and Josh knew that something big would happen between them. Something no one expected.
And with that Brendon took her with him and left to some town out of Vegas.
Brendon's eyes widened as he stared at Josh.
Lance left the trailer and went into the big arena. Emerson soon followed.
"If you're hiding something, Josh, you better spill it soon. You guys still have another show." Pete said, angrily.
As the door shut, Brendon shot up to Josh. "You didn't tell them anything did you? Please say no."
Josh shook his head. "No, but how is she going to get here? If your mom drops her off then the guys will get furious with her that she dropped the time to practice to meet your mom. They never wanted her to go. I was one of them but I kinda had to think it over." He slowly murmured the last part.
Brendon looked out the window. "I don't know. I was going to go home and get her...but I don't have a car. Pete used Kegan's car."
Josh got up from the chair. "Then ask Kegan for the car again."
Brendon sat up. "Good idea! I'll be right back if he doesn't give me the car. If I don't come back I went to go get her. Keep it on the DL."
He nodded as Brendon left the trailer.
"Alright...I'm lying too much." He mumbled to himself.
Josh...the masterind of...lying?
Yeah, that sounds good.
Both Lance and Emerson gave Josh a death stare.

Entry#20: Someone Tell Me...
I want to tell every one;
I'm sorry but I have a girlfriend.
She's amazing.
and...
I wrote this for her.
Tell me baby
How does this taste?
Does it taste any better then how it did for me
Oh, I don't really remember tasting anything like this before
But you know I'm just your whore
I won't stop
I won't stop
I won't...
You're my girl
I'm your whore
Only to forget that
Everything
Is my fault
It's my fault
I just want you
Can I have you?
Is it okay?
Please don't forget
Me-
I just want you here
Please baby
Please me.
Tell me
Oh tell me
What does it taste like?
Revenge, sweet revenge?
It's like the way it always tastes
Filled with more and more hate
And I don't
And it doesn't
MATTER
You're my girl
I'm your whore
Only to forget that
Everything
Is my fault
It's my fault
I just want you
Can I have you?
Is it okay?
Please don't forget
Me-
I just want you here
Please baby
Please me.
When the day ends
And passes me by
Will you forget how I lied
Will you forget the whole story
Do you believe that I am
You're guy
Oh, shut up.
SHUT UP.
SHUT
UP.
Don't talk to me
It's just no use and
SHUT UP.
Don't talk to me
Don't talk to me
Don't talk to me
So tell me
Tell me
Baby tell me how it tastes...
"WOAH! PETE! Thanks! This is the best!" Daina exploded.
Lance shifted uneasily in his chair.
Josh and Emerson's eyes followed Pete as he glided across their suite to Daina.
"Well, it is for one of my favorite girls in the whole world." He smiled.
Daina got up to give Pete a death hug.
Out of all days that Pete could have come over...He had to pick the day they were writing songs.
Lance was writing a song about his lovely girlfriend, Lorelei.
She was very VERY much more interesting than Daina ever would be.
Lorelei was very low key. Down to earth.
Daina was too. But Daina was outgoing. Far too outgoing to everyone that even she didn't know.
Josh was writing about about bisexuality.
Emerson was writing about myspace because he had become strangely addicted to the site.
[Josh's song is called; I Want You. Emerson's is called; The Myspace Anthem (DS Style)]
Kelsey poked her head into the room but burst it open seeing people around.
"Hey, you guys." She said, wrapping her arms around Josh's neck.
Daina walked into the living room, seeing all the guys on the couches.
"Kelsey! Guys...why are you all on the same couch?" She asked.
Lance shrugged and got back to typing.
He opened his IM.
jinx4sins : hey boo.
lorelame : ello.
jinx4sins : i miss u so much.
lorelame : i want u to come home so bad rite now.
jinx4sins : i know.
jinx4sins : how are you?
lorelame : just peachy. what about you, dear?
jinx4sins : ehh, i could be better with you than without you.
lorelame : you are the most SWEETEST boy ever.
lorelame : im glad you're mine. :]
jinx4sins : why thank you.
jinx4sins : i have to go. im supposed to be writing songs rite now.
lorelame : alright.
jinx4sins : bye, boo.
lorelame : bye, love.
jinx4sins has signed off.
Josh peeked over Lance's shoulder. "Lorelei is going to be home. Don't get her excited."
Lance chuckled. "Sorry, but I don't know what you're talking about."
Daina pushed Kelsey into the kitchen so they could all talk about Maine and Kelsey's new home.
Emerson turned his head and watched Kelsey walk into the kitchen.
Daina appeared back in the living room. She settled herself on the coffee table.
"Tomorrow is Las Vegas. And Brendon wants me to stay there for a bit." She said into the silence.
The boys looked to her. "What? But don't we have another show after that?" Josh asked.
Emerson nodded his head. "You can't, Daina. This tour is reeally important. After the whole tour our new album hits everywhere."
Daina looked to the door. "I know. It's just I haven't seen Brendon since...ever. And I miss him so much."
Josh shook his head. "No way, Day. Just no! Don't leave us for your boyfriend!"
Daina looked to her hands.
Lance sat next to her. "It's ok. You'll see him after tour. For sure. Just finish the tour, Day. I know you'll meet up after."
Daina smiled up at Lance. "You're the best, Lance."
Josh and Emerson laughed. "Totally, Lancey!" They cried.
Lance chuckled and got up. He sat back down.
I'm sorry but I have a girlfriend.
She's amazing.

I wrote this for her.

Entry#19: Dear Killa Boy
Jason missed out on Daina's new life. He missed her.
He missed the rest of the band, too. But not as much as Daina.
Daina helped him boost his confidence.
She helped him get on the stage in front of the thousands of Maine fans for Deadly Sins.
Daina helped Jason a lot.
But she was on tour now. And it was August of 2008.
Jason had a myspace with over 1,000 people. (To be exact; only 1,034.)
The guys in Killa Boy decided to not make a band myspace because they knew they wouldn't make it anywhere.
Zack, the bassist of the band, was the only one who actually wanted the band to have a myspace.
"Guys, Sins are coming here in three days. We have to make backstage the best thing ever." Kevin, Killa Boy's drummer, said.
Jason sunk into his seat. He hadn't planned anything. "Daina won't let us into backstage. Only Jason."
Everyone gathered around Jason. "What?" He said, noticing the eyes watching him.
"Call Daina and ask her if we can get backstage 'passes'." Jason shook his head.
"No way. You guys call her. I'm not going to ask her for something like that." He felt a hand slip into his right pocket.
Zack rolled his eyes as Jason smacked the hand out of his pocket.
"Come on, Jay. It's three fuckin' days away. We never bought tickets either." Kevin emplied.
Jason sat up and looked up to the stairs. "Mom! Can I use the phone?" He called.
His mother opened the basement door and looked down to her son. "Honey, can it wait? I'm in a very important call."
Jason shook his head. "Just hang up. I need to call a friend. This is more important than getting your hair done."
She said a few more things into the phone then hung up.
"Hurry." She said before softly shutting the door.
"Why couldn't you use your cell?" Ian asked.
Jason dialed Daina's cell phone number. "Because, I had only told her my home phone number."
Zack and Kevin looked to eachother. Strange...
Ian rested his head on his hands as Jason talked into the phone.
"Hey, Day. It's Jason." He turned around and smiled to himself.
"Oh hey! Oh my gosh! I miss you! And Killa Boy! Tour is such an experience. I can't believe we're gonna be there in a couple days."
"Yeah, I know! I can't wait to see you guys live in a professional way. Hey, I have to ask you something."
"Okay. What is it?"
He breathed in and looked to Killa Boy. Watching him carefully.
"I wanted to know if we could...you know, get backstage? We had something planned and we really want to make your backstage after party amazing."
"Well, if it has to do with our backstage after party then HELL TO THE YES! Just go around the area and I'll meet you there. The security will be heavy so I don't want them to be suspicious of your guys."
"Thanks! I miss you so much! I can't wait to see you!"
-3 long days later.-
"You guys have been standing there for the past half hour...what's up?" One of the bald men asked.
Jason looked to Ian. Ian shrugged. "I don't know. They said to meet back here."
The fence looked really torn up. No wonder there was security there.
Ian moved himself so he had a good angle to see the door and vans.
"Uh, is DS here yet?" Kevin groaned.
The other bald guy looked to the other. "Why do you care again?"
Jason flipped his hair and turned up his iPod.
"This is boring!" Kevin cried.
In a few seconds they heard the sound of sneakers pounding on the ground.
"Guys! Oh god! I'm so sorry! I was right in the middle of arguing with Lance and Emm." She apologized.
Jason smiled. "It's ok. Don't be sorry. We've been here since early."
She pulled his arm and took the other guys too. "These are my friends. They DESERVE to be back here."
As the door opened, the other boys yelled. "KILLA BOY!"
Lance was the only one who didn't chime in. He disliked these guys.
Each boy had tried to take Daina away from him while they dated.
"Hey." He said and turned around.
Daina rushed past him to get in front of him. "Lance! What's wrong?"
"Nothing. I need to finish getting ready." He smiled to her but immediately got out of her way.
Jason watched as Lance walked away. Daina watched Lance also.
A sad face settling onto her's. "Day! Come on! Stay happy!"
She looked to Jason with a sad smile. "He's become distant from me only. I guess we should have never dated."
Jason pulled her into a hug. "Thanks, Jay. You're a really cool friend."
One of the sound managers came down the small hall. "Daina, you need to finish off your make-up."
Daina got out of Jason's death hug.
Emerson and Josh nudged Daina to let go.
"Don't forget Brendon." They whispered to her.
Jason forgot about Brendon. They were together.
He would not want to see Daina hurt because Brendon left her.
It would have been his fault.
Soon enough, the band went on stage.
Jason and the guys put up their decortations. It wasn't much.
A sign here.
A present there.
Jason standing in between them.
He missed the rest of the band, too. But not as much as Daina.

Entry#18: Dear Emerson
Dear Emerson,
The biggest problem that I've always had with playing bass was the big transition of playing guitar for three whole years! I've always wanted to play bass but I always get confused when I play certain notes and not all the strings are there. (Because I always played the notes I see on guitar.)
What's your advice?
From, Eric
Dear Eric,
Some advice would be to stick with guitar. I've always wanted to play guitar but I never really got into the transition either. If you still want to play bass AND guitar then you may want to practice both instruments with the same amount of hours. If you leave more time for the other, you might forget how to play the other instrument. Try it. You never know. You may just be able to play bass AND guitar at a very high level!
From, Emm
Emerson signed off of his email address. He had answered fourty whole emails that day.
That same night they had a show and it was taking forever to get to their next destination.
First was Florida. (Orlando and Tampa.)
Next was Texas. (Dallas for a two days.)
Desert, the hottest thing that was ever discovered by Deadly Sins.
They made a stop for gas so Lance and Josh went out to get some water.
"Excuse me, sir?" Josh threw his hand on the counter.
The man looked up and his eyes widened. "Aren't you that fella in that big new band?!" He exclaimed in his country accent.
Josh looked to Lance who was still by the refridgerators. "Uh, no. Wait...how would you know?"
The man pointed to a young girl pulling a large cart. "My sister listens to you."
Josh looked to the young girl. She didn't look bad.
"Oh. Well, I need to get going. I was going to ask you something but-"
Lance interrupted him in the middle of his sentence by throwing the bottles of water, gatorade, and Red Bull onto the fresh counter.
"I'm paying. Don't even touch your pocket." He said, reaching for his own pocket to take out money.
Josh backed away and felt flesh under his arm.
"Oh, I'm sorry, mister." A small voice said.
Josh turned around and saw the young girl.
Her blonde hair up in a bun.
She was wearing a Cobra Starship junior shirt with some some jean shorts. Her thin figure making the outfit work.
The look on her face changed right away. "Oh! MY GOD! You're Josh from Deadly Sins!!! Can I get a p-picture? Or autograph?!"
Josh hadn't even gotten a signiture done in his head.
Well, first times a charm.
She took a napkin from her cart and pounded on the counter.
Her brother handed her a pen.
"Here you go!" She beamed.
Lance smiled and handed the man the money.
He grabbed the bags of many bottles and rushed out the door.
Josh leaned over the counter and spelled out his name.
J - O - S - H.
To make it like an autograph, the 'J' fancy and the rest of his name like regular letters.
She squealed and stuffed it in her pocket.
"Thank you so much! I love you guys so much! I wish I could see you guys in Dallas tonight!"
He listened to her small talk then rushed out the door.
Daina shoved him into the back seat and they hurried off.
Lance sat in the front passenger seat while Emerson drove.
Emerson didn't look as usual.
He looked like he was going to go crazy.
A few hours later they arrived in the back of a stage with other bands in their own vans. A crowd of people waiting to get in.
Emerson parked the van by a concession stand that was empty.
Lina and Cassidy took out boxes that were taped shut.
Harvey and Darren weren't anywhere nearby.
"Cassidy! Where's Harvey and Darren?" He asked.
Cassidy smiled and waved. Then she shrugged. "I don't know. They were going to get the sign that fans made of Dallas."
Daina and Josh looked to eachother. "And the money we make here is going where?" Daina asked.
Lina answered for Cassidy. "It's going to you guys. The money will be all for you. Buying new equipment. Stuff like that."
Josh chuckled. "Oh! I should have known that!"
Daina punched his shoulder and spun around.
The stage crew took out their amps and many guitars and drum sets and basses.
Emerson ran off to the private bathroom.
He reached into his pocket, taking out a pack of new cigarettes.
He opened it carefully and stuck it in his mouth.
"Geez, I missed you." He sucked in the smoke, puffing it out slowly.
It took him ten minutes to finish two long blows of two short cigarettes.
Josh knocked on the door and Emerson rushed.
"Hey, Em! Hurry up! I know you're in there!" He called.
Emerson then opened the door, casually. "Sorry, I really had to go." They both laughed.
"Well, let's go! We need to get ready!"
Emerson nodded and felt his soul for better.
The smoke hit him really good.
